There are couple of things why laptops are great for us and for learning. Firstly, you can use it while on holiday or somewhere else. It doesn't need power! That means I don't need to give up my twitter or Facebook while on vacations!! Than,it have lower power and space requirements than desktops.This means you can put more music or movies on it than on PCs. And most important you can use it when the electricity is out!
However, there are couple of disadvantages too. Firstly, it's not easy to repair. Than, they are usually more expensive than other PCs. If you want to buy some cheep laptop you probably won't be able to do some things like Photoshop because their space is usually low.
I think in this world, today, to have laptop is better than to have PCs. With laptops you can carry them around with you and work on them while in school or work. And even if they're more expensive than PCs it's totally worth it.
I use my laptop for everything!! Surfing, school, movies and music. Even though my laptop already has like 8 years it is still in use, maybe it's not as great as it was when it was new but it's good. Without my laptop my life would suck! :D
